Children from the city of Nordhausen take us into their world. They tell us about their sadness, their panic, their fears, and their happiness when looking at fly agarics or lying in their sister’s arms. Most of the children are afraid of the dark, themselves, sometimes of their own city. They are afraid of war and recurring dreams. They believe in humanity, in ghosts and in angels.
