«Das kleine Fernsehspiel» is one of the most respected platforms on the German film landscape. An editorial subsidiary of the ZDF public network, it co-produces arthouse, documentaries and film essays by up-and-coming authors and ensembles.
On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the film directed by Jana Keuchel and Katharina Knust establishes a multi-layered dialogue between several of its protagonists, accounting for different perspectives of German cinema history and the act of filmmaking itself.
